When we contact you, it is because we have been asked to obtain an independent medical report in connection with your claim.

The request can come from your solicitor or alternatively from your insurer or the solicitor / insurer representing the other party involved.

The medical examination for medico-legal purposes is similar to a visit to your doctor but the purpose is different.

The primary role of the expert is to document the background and circumstances of the injury as far as is relevant to the medical assessment and your claim.

The doctor is not seeing you to advise you on your condition or to initiate any treatment. In addition, the doctor will not be making any judgment on who was at fault leading to your injury.

Our contact with you is limited to the arrangements for your medical assessment. Your insurer or solicitor is always your point of contact regarding the administration of your claim.
